At the Emirates, he has agreed to an 18-month contract with a one-year extension option.
The champion of Euro 2020 also acknowledges that he was on the verge of playing alongside Arteta in the past. He might make his debut on Saturday when the Gunners travel to Everton.
He stated the following to Arsenal.com: “He had a significant impact because I am aware that he made attempts to court me in the past but failed for various factors unrelated to my desires. Naturally, he had a significant impact.
“I am really eager to take on this new challenge and I cannot wait to be on the field. Everything took place very quickly.
“I was a little taken aback, but I seized the chance to complete this incredible feat. It’s a fantastic, sizable club, and I’m quite delighted and excited to be here.”
Jorginho is excited about the prospect of leading the Gunners to Premier League championship success as Arteta’s team leads the standings, five points ahead of defending champion Manchester City.
He Added: “I’ll make an effort to only provide my experience, hard work, and good vibes to the team. It’s what I bring with me at all times.
“I make an effort to use my experience from my time with past teams and anything else I can to help the team achieve greater and greater success. That is my goal.
“All I can guarantee is that I’ll give it everything I’ve got to represent this club,”
After being unveiled by Arsenal, the team’s new No. 20 thanked Chelsea for his time at Stamford Bridge on Instagram.
